Middlesex Hotel guest register, 1881-1882.

Guest register containing entries for Jan. 1881-Aug. 1882 (during the proprietorship of James W. Jacobs). Volume consists of printed lined pages with heading "Middlesex Hotel" and columns for entry of date, name of guest, residence, time, and room number. Each page of the register is bound opposite a page of printed advertisements (the same advertisements repeated throughout). Approximately the first fifteen leaves of the register have been used as a scrapbook (primarily for clippings), apparently by Frederick G. Ewell of Medford, Mass., who pasted or laid in material (1902-1918) relating to. Ewell family members and to the police force of Medford.
